Welcome to The River Room at The Folly, above the River Thames

This intimate room can accommodate up to 24 guests for seated dining, or up to 40 for a standing reception. Overlooking Folly Bridge and the river, it is a memorable setting for birthdays, anniversaries, business lunches and private celebrations throughout the year.

We offer a dedicated private dining menu featuring seasonal British ingredients, with options for wine pairing and bespoke cake service on request. Our team will work with you to tailor the experience — from place settings and floral arrangements to dietary requirements and timing on the day.

Lunch is served from midday, with afternoon tea available on selected dates. Evening bookings begin at 6pm. Minimum spend applies for exclusive use of the room at weekends and during peak season. Please note that all enquiries are subject to availability and our standard terms and conditions.

About the room

The River Room sits on the first floor of our Oxford riverside restaurant, with floor-to-ceiling windows and views across the Thames. The space includes its own bar area, AV facilities for presentations, and direct access from our main entrance. Parking is available nearby, and we are a short walk from the city centre.
