Design taste is subjective, but data is not.
The websites we work on have only one job: to generate leads. In order for your website to generate leads you need two things:
- A steady stream of visitors who are in the market for what you offer
- A website that convinces those visitors to get in touch with you
Without data, we cannot refine your website
If a website gets fewer than 100 relevant visitors a month, there usually is not enough data to make confident decisions. In fact it puts you in this grey area because you can still make changes. You can still rewrite pages, change layouts, swap images and tidy things up.
But you have no way to measure what does and doesn’t work, and so you’re in danger of arguing over design choices, and getting further away from the point of the website: to generate leads.
Without enough qualified visitors, it is very hard to separate a real problem from personal opinion.
Otherwise, everyone ends up debating taste
Unless you are building a website for an artist’s portfolio, someone thinks the button should be a different colour. Someone else thinks the corners should be rounder. Someone wants the page to feel more premium. Someone wants it shorter. Someone wants it longer.
None of those opinions are necessarily wrong.
But taste is subjective. Data is not.
When there is no reliable traffic or enquiry data, the loudest opinion in the room tends to win. That is not how we want to manage your website, and it is not how we want you spending your money.
Ads give the website data
When we manage your ads, we can send qualified people to specific pages and see what happens.
- Do they enquire?
- Do they leave?
- Do they click through but avoid the form?
- Do certain messages bring better leads?
- Do some services attract attention but not turn into revenue?
That gives us something useful to work with. The website stops being a static brochure and becomes part of a live marketing system.
This is where Decisive Marketing matters
Our approach is built around making the next best decision.
We test ideas, measure what happened, and use what we learn to decide what to improve next.
That is only possible when the website is connected to the advertising, tracking and reporting. If we cannot see what kind of traffic is reaching the site, or whether that traffic is turning into enquiries, we cannot honestly tell you which website changes are worth making.
We would rather say no than sell you a website management package that slowly turns into guesswork.
What we will do instead
If we manage your ads and your website together, we can move much faster.
- If a campaign is getting clicks but the page is not converting, we can improve the page.
- If a service page starts generating better enquiries, we can build more around that message.
- If your team needs to add case studies, blog posts or new service content, we can make those parts editable in WordPress so you are not waiting on us for every small change.
- And when something more technical is needed, your monthly website credits give you a clear way to request bigger improvements.
